Directory assistance services

Teletypewriter (TTY) users requiring a phone number may request a TELUS Relay agent to place a call to Directory Assistance on their behalf. Please provide the specific town or city, address, and the name of the person or business.

Note: Directory Assistance charges apply unless registered for special needs exemption.

Enhanced directory assistance

Directory assistance now offers enhanced information services that include the following:

• Movie theatre information such as movie times, ratings, and synopses.
• 5 day weather information for Canada and the U.S.
• Detailed driving directions for Canada and the U.S.
• Searches by business category.

Directory assistance exemption

If you are a residential client and are unable to use directory assistance due to impairment and are certified by an organization, physician, or individual acceptable to the TELUS, you may apply for directory assistance exemption.

Exemptions apply for local directory assistance, long distance directory assistance and enhanced directory assistance calls within Canada and the United States. To apply, please submit the special needs application form.
